Unsere Kreativschule im Armen-Stadtteil Kotebe in Addis Abeba ist seit Jahren gewachsen und zuletzt aus allen Nähten geplatzt. Bisher haben wir uns an den Wochenenden für den Kreativunterricht in einer Schule eingemietet, weil die Bibliothek zu klein für den Ansturm der Kinder war. Das unterrichtende Team musste dafür die Spielmaterialien von unseren Büros transportieren. Der Kostenaufwand für ein eigenes Gebäude war aber aus dem Jahresbudget nicht zu stemmen.
Mein runder Geburtstag als Benefizveranstaltung
Die Großzügigkeit meiner Gäste bei der Open-Stage-Party im November 2024 war überwältigend.
27.680 EURO wurden zu meinem Geburtstag für BUNTSTIFTE gespendet. DANKE!
Damit konnten wir ein neues Kreativzentrum anmieten und ausstatten.
Geburtstagsparty
Eine kreative Geburtstagsparty in Abtenau hat ein neues Kreativzentrum in Kotebe, Addis Abeba finanziert.
Künstlerische Darbietungen, die Versteigerung des Bildes von Maia Schnöll und der kulinarische Genuss haben zur Spendenfreudigkeit beigetragen.
Das Haus
Es ist ein sehr schönes, stabiles Gebäude und erstreckt sich über drei Ebenen. Damit konnten wir endlich die Büros unseres Teams, die Bibliothek und alle Schulungsräume für Kinder und Frauen in einem Gebäude vereinen. Unser Team hat in großartiger Arbeit die Räume freundlich gestaltet und zweckmäßig möbliert.
In Äthiopien erhältliche Materialien haben wir vor Ort gekauft und mit den Kreativspielen aus meinem Reisegepäck ergänzt, nach Themen und Alter geordnet und im Team erprobt
Einschulung des Teams in viele neue Spiele
Viele Stunden verbringen wir mit gemeinsamem Spielen und Erproben kreativer Methoden. Dabei lernen wir voneinander und stärken den Teamspirit. Arbeit mit hohem Spaßfaktor!
Feierliche und unkonventionelle Eröffnung
Nach Erfüllung vieler bürokratischer Auflagen und einer ersten Besichtigung durch die lokalen Behörden konnten wir endlich unsere Familien einladen. Die Aufregung war groß. In feierlichen Tüchern und den besten Kleidern kamen 50 Familien. Zur Eröffnung spielte das Team für die Kinder und Mütter Handpuppentheater, das wir gemeinsam einstudiert hatten.
Theaterspielen für die Familien, die sie betreuen – eine neue Erfahrung für die Projektleiterin, Buchhalterin, unsere Köchin und Reinigungsfrau, die Lehrerinnen, Sozialarbeiterinnen, Musiker und den Krankenpfleger mit großem Unterhaltungswert für alle.
Das Kreativzentrum als beliebter Treffpunkt
Es kommen täglich zwischen 40 und 80 Kinder.
An den Wochenenden ist es ganztags und an den Schultagen von 15:00 bis 18:00 geöffnet. Damit können die Kinder auf ihrem Heimweg von der Schule in den hellen Räumen ihre Hausübungen machen, erhalten Nachhilfe, können mit Kreativmaterialien ihre Fähigkeiten verbessern und auf den Computern ihre Unterrichtsmaterialien downloaden. In den großen Ferien (Mitte Juli bis Anfang September) dürfen Kinder und Frauen täglich außer Sonntag kommen.
In den verschiedenen Räumen wird gelesen, gespielt, gemalt, getöpfert, getanzt und musiziert und Theater gespielt. An Wochenenden bieten wir auch Unterricht auf äthiopischen und internationalen Musikinstrumenten und professionellen Kunstunterricht.
Zwei großzügige Räume stehen den Frauen zur Verfügung. Hier werden Schulungen gehalten, und sie können Arbeitsgeräte aufstellen (Nähmaschinen…) und haben Platz für Materialien (Textilien, Korbmaterial…).
